First Christian Church of Baytown

(Disciples of Christ)

Local Outreach

We are long-time supporters of Love Inc, a local benevolent organization that offers help to those in need. We also support the Church Women United Thrift Shop that enables low income people to purchase the things they need to take care of their families.  The money from the Thrift Shop supports the Child Care Center which provides an accredited facility for pre-school children from low income families. This allows the parents to work outside the home.

Our congregation has also offered financial support and assistance to the New Horizons Family Center.

The St. Stephen's Fund provides emergency assistance to those who are facing difficult circumstances.

We are also long-time supporters of the American Cancer Society through our annual participation in the Relay for Life.

These and other missions of the church are supported by funds received through our regular offerings. In times of particular need, the First Christian family digs a little deeper to share the love of God with our neighbors.
